Processing and original-file safety

Supported PDFs are read, reordered, and copied into a new PDF inside the browser tab. QuickerConvert does not need a server upload to assemble this workflow.

The source PDFs are never overwritten. Export creates one new merged download, so keep the originals until page order and completeness have been checked.

Tested limits and output tradeoffs

Enforced limits

  • Up to 100 files, 100 MB per file, 300 MB combined, and 750 PDF pages can enter one browser workspace.
  • A warning appears from 200 MB combined or 300 pages because decoded pages can use substantially more memory than the file sizes suggest.

What the output may change

  • Pages are copied rather than re-authored, so merging does not repair damaged text, broken fonts, or malformed PDF objects.
  • Existing metadata, links, forms, annotations, and accessibility structure can remain in copied source pages and should be reviewed separately.

Reviewed 2026-07-19: First-party QA confirmed that boundary-sized batches are accepted, the next file or page over the limit is rejected without removing files already open, and cancellation keeps the original inputs in the workspace.

Troubleshooting

  • If a PDF is password-blocked, unlock it first only when you know the password and have permission.
  • For a large packet, merge smaller groups first and then combine the reviewed results.
  • If one file fails while others open, save a fresh PDF copy of that file in a trusted viewer and try the fresh copy.

Desktop and phone notes

  • Phones default to a compact list-first workspace so file order and final merge controls remain reachable.
  • Large image-heavy packets are more reliable on a desktop browser with more available memory.
